Having read the book I was really looking forward to this film. However it was utterly disappointing, boring, all over the place and overall dull. It misses huge chunks of the beginning of the story (losing their farm and the reason why) I only understood this as I’d read the book, but my husband has not and was completely confused. The film was dull, slow, and generally not half as inspiring or engaging as the book. I fell asleep before the end!
