I feel like they spun it up for todays audience. I saw the original...and loved it. Great acting..appropriate flash backs and wonderful set designs that gave a great atmosphere. This one felt more like I was walking through 'Hill House'. What saved this one was the great acting. Everyone one is quite good. The set design is beautiful and at least the plot holds true for the development of the characters.
