I don't like the fact that It's so short. I'm a massive fan of Spiderman and when finally there's another game, It's so short I could beat it in one sitting.
It's not a bad one, but I don't think Spiderman is the franchise that could have the best 'short' game. Miles is a new character with new abilities, (kinda) a new map, new villains, and much, much more. We did see some character growth with Miles becoming his own Spiderman, but It all feels forced, for example, we get into the game just as Miles discovers his own abilities. That means that we don't see any real issues with Miles and Peter, because he immediately discovers his own powers/personality. This can be easily fixed by adding DLCs, but I doubt that will happen, as I'm guessing Insomniac wants this game to be a little 'optional' adventure so you could just not play the game and still be caught up on Marvel's Spider-Man timeline when the second Marvel's Spider-Man drops (which it inevitably will). Still, it has amazing combat and choreography which you just don't find in Marvel's Spider-Man. If you are going to play it, I advise playing on the hardest difficulty (it makes the game feel longer and balances things out, as Miles is kinda OP). Overall, It's an alright game, but I wonder what it could have been if it wasn't just a small, little introduction game to the PS5.
