DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. So Sony and Polyphony did a bait and switch with this game. They got really good reviews from industry publishers, then two weeks after launch rolled out an update basically halfing all in-game credits won in races. This is the ONLY way to buy cars in this game. They are doing this to push micro transactions. It's such a shame this is what this franchise has turned into. I have been playing Gran Turismo since the very first game came out 20 some years ago. I am avid sim racer with a wheel and I race with all of the assists and settings turned off for the ultimate simulation experience. I can honestly say I am so bummed I bought this game at full price. With the MTX and the way they have made this game a grind and the fact you can't play it offline it's a complete waste to me. Also, if you're a hard core GT fan like myself you will remember the days of being rewarded with extra in game credits racing and license testing with all assists turned off. You can run with all asissts on or off and you get the same credits. They have completely removed ALL SKILL from this game. So if you're an experienced sim racer, this is not the game for you. Stick to GT sport or get Forza on your PC/laptop and hook it up to your wheel. Unfortunately this franchise has completely fubared its user base and this will be the last GT game I ever buy. Sucks they went this direction and I hope the gaming community lashes back enough for the developers to take notice. Oh, and when I bought this game, I couldn't play it for the first 30+ hours I owned it because the GT servers were down and you and the servers have to be online to play it. AVOID THIS GAME LIKE THE PLAGUE and I hope to god someone does a class action lawsuit against them for the bait and switch which is very much illegal.
