I stumbled upon this movie in a moment of grace. I greatly admire Jeremy Irons and the story was exquisite. All the political turmoil is mentioned in passing, there is a quietness about it, after all the political hysteria of the past few years this was a blessing. It's got depth and it will linger in my mind. Absolutely loved it.
