I've never heard so much foul language in an audiobook. Really horrible. If he could have kept the storyline from going around like a maze, and got rid of all the detailed gory disturbing violence and bad language, it would have been a nice, 30 minute short story.
Maybe that's just how his books are. I'm not going to find out.
The characters were a jumbled mess. I wrote down as many as I could to try and keep track. But, the main character at the end, I wasn't sure who he was.
Other than that, the narrator was very good.
Despite the good very very ending, it wasn't worth putting up with all the cheap, unintelligent crap just to fill pages. If I meet someone who likes this book, I'll know I won't like that person. That's how disturbingly bad Timeline was.
I'll stick with other time travel, fantasy sci-fi authors. There are plenty of them that I enjoy listening to.
