First of all, don’t watch this movie without having already seen the previous movies. They continually reference past events thought the entirety of the film. You will be confused if you go in blindly.
Secondly, the script seems to have been written by a middle-schooler. The creators of this film tried to appeal to the wrong demographic. The script cheesy, choppy, and would be loved most by 13-15 year olds. However, the movie is rated R (17+). It just doesn’t make sense.
Just like the script, the plot was very choppy. It was also painfully predictable.
There were strangers around me at the theater who couldn’t help but chuckle during the most serious parts of the movie because of how unrealistic it was. For example, one of the main characters was stabbed repeatedly by two killers. He was probably stabbed in his chest area 30+ times. However, at the end of the movie, he is seen alive being rolled out on a stretcher with some bandages and an oxygen mask. He was awake and fine. The EMT even stopped rolling him so he could take some time to talk to his friends. HE WAS STABBED IN THE HEART LIKE 10 TIMES!
There were many scenes similar to this one that had the viewers rolling their eyes.
I don’t recommend this movie unless you are easily entertained.
