Have you ever watched a movie and had dreams about it. Night of the King is one of those movies. This drama/fantasy was released in 2020 and it’s set in the Ivory Coast. It follows the journey of a young man who ends up in prison due to a murder that you’ve not sure he even committed. Now this prison is wild… It’s essentially run by an incarcerated inmate. There are all kinds of rules and customs you’re exposed to early in the film. As soon as the new inmate arrives, he’s labelled as Roman - the storyteller of the prison and he doesn’t really have a choice. His story is accompanied by a series of deaths and performances in the prison. It’s a film about the transformative power of storytelling. It’s unpredictable and will give you one of those, "That was a good movie" moment.
