I have been a faithful and excited reader of the entire Gabriel Allon series. Sadly and most unfortunately in this most recent book, Daniel Silva becomes political. I think he failed to evaluate in advance just how many of his readers are likely conservative and offended by his recent writings. In my opinion Gabriel Allon would have been firmly in favor of the way President Trump dealt with Israel as well as Russia and especially President Trump’s peaceful accomplishments in the Middle East. I am but one purchaser of his books, but it is my guess that Silva has lost millions of future avid readers and our dollars.
