I'm reviewing cause it's crazy how it has such a low rating. This series is extremely good. I read how someone rated it 3 stars but then says they fast forwarded through stuff. How are you going to get to know the characters, get invested, and then judge the series? This "comedy" will be a fun time while tackling deep psychological and social issues. It doesn't go so deep that you are not enjoying yourself, and it doesn't get more cartoonish than it should. It's just the right balance to have you cracking uo every now and then and twisting your heart at just the right moments. Every decision from every character will result in appropriate consequences. At the end of season 3, I believe that probably Zion was the only character who did not properly face the consequences of his decisions. He is responsible for 50% of everything negative that happened and deserves basically 0% of the credit for the positives. When a show that has so many stories fails to take proper care of only one, I believe the show deserves very high praise.

The first 6 episodes deserve a very high rating. Great casting over all. However, the last two episodes are a disaster, it's like the show was taken over by a very incompetent show runner, director, writers... The whole thing just torpedoes into a disaster full of clichés after clichés. What a shame, it could have taken many directions and all the worst ones werw taken, with non sensical scenes all over. I wish I would have just stopped at chapter 6 and imagined the rest, then it would have deserved a 90% rating. The last two episodes barely deserve a 10% rating. Overall I would give it a 50% rating to credit the acting of a few cast members.

Way to ruin an amazing show. When themes are put above story, the story will always suffer. Just because a new showrunner is part of something and wants to send a message, that does not mean that the message has to be displayed over and over and shoved down people's throats. Just like Ellen Page in the umbrella academy, what could have been a reasonable explanation that takes a few seconds to establish the new norm of a main character, became a dull theme overexposed and over explained again and again, all while the story became more convoluted and uninteresting. Bridgerton seems to be starting on the same path, already setting the stage to a huge change in the story that will inevitably cause ripples, just for the sake of sending a message, for the sake of theme over story. This could have been done perfectly well with new and original characters to send that message. It is how representation should always be done if it wants to be true representation, new characters done with taste and creativity, who will grow and people will grow to root for, instead of causing deserved backslash. The lack of talent and creativity by a showrunner, producers or directors is no excuse for them to kidnapp established characters just to push their messages. Bridgerton, star wars, umbrella academy... More amazing paved by talented people gets destroyed.

First season gets 3 stars... Barely. Rosamund Pike carried the season and it's no coincidence the best episodes were the ones centered around her. The protagonists come across as a bunch of whiny air heads. If you watched the first season and don't care for the show anymore, come back!! The second season is like an entirely new show. The whiny kids learned how to act lol. The season was VERY good!! Highly recommended and easily 5 stars. I wish it would have had an extra episode, the last scene could have been tied with a bit of an extra chance to develop the characters a bit more and see where they are headed into the next season. Can't wait for season 3, great job Amazon!

Excellent show, it begins to bring to surface how despicable the Sackler drug cartel is and how our government played an instrumental role in allowing them to run their operations, and finally come out of it free and with their ill gotten blood money.
