Not to discredit Golding or anything, but this book is horrible. You might just be better off with a youtube vid about the savagery of humanity because if you thought this book was gonna be about boys stuck on an island, you're wrong. The boys are just a vessel to symbolism. (SPOILER ALERT) Nothing goes right in the story either, there are no ups and downs, just downs, so it gets really boring and weird as you read. If you're just reading this for fun, go for it, but if you're gonna actually analyze it, don't. You'll be searching on the internet within minutes.
