As a film student, this film made me realize, more than anything, the reason why I need to stay in this profession till I die: To inspire and be a hero too. I give it a 9/10. Never been so emotional because of a superhero movie.

The Old Guard (2020) is one of those films that are fantasy-driven but richly blended with the "reality" of purpose. It has a powerful theme which sets a foundation from which a viewer can get inspired to fulfil their destiny. Really enjoyed it.

I can't help but say that the film was well adapted. Honestly, I thought I was gonna see a cut and past like the film adaptation of the Lion King. Niki did a marvelous job. I felt touched. Felt like crying. Women, through this film, are represented VERY well through Mulan. WOMEN, IT'S TIME TO TAKE YOUR PLACE
