Readers should know that American sourced guns cause instability in many parts of the world, e.g Haiti, Mexican cartels, etc, and that guns smuggled from the USA comprise most guns used by criminals in Canada.
The book contains a major inaccuracy in describing the Ulster Defence Regiment (UDR) as a loyalist paramilitary group. In fact, the UDR was a regiment formed by the British army to assist in dealing with the "Troubles". It had a troubled reputation.
Given this inaccuracy, and what it suggests about the author's research, I find it difficult to attach much credibility to this book.
