Some viewers feels film bit lengthy because director had a tough job of cherry picking very important events from the 5 part novel and constraining it into as usual cinematic 2.5 hrs however he did a fabulous job. It will be only possible by one and only ace director ManiRatnam. ARR mesmerised us with the scintillating BGM score and already hit songs along with the apt picturisation brings life to the great Chola Kingdom. Cinematographer Raviverman has done the magic by taking us to 1100 years back with picturesque locations and sets erected exactly like the great Chola Dynasty. Art director Thotatharani is a real viswakarma of modern age as he brings us the glory of the great Chola Kingdom by the world class work being it Tanjore Palace, Villages near shores of river Kaveri, Sri Lankan Kingdom, Lanka Monastery, etc... Last but not least the casts of the film especially Chiyaan Vikram and Ash has really lived in their characters. All others were contributed their fullest efforts to bring life to this movie. Overall it a fantastic teamwork and the real tribute to the original hero Amarar Kalki Krisnamurthy. Like this, many such efforts to be made to bring the best of Tamil Nadu's great kingdoms apart from Cholas such as Cheras, Pandiyas, Pallavas who have contributed for development of art, culture, heritage and especially their great co tributions for Tamil language. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 Pride of India. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
