Overall, I am glad that I watched this movie, all of the actors and actresses played their roles well. Also, there were many wonderful lessons to learn throughout the movie, such as no one is too young or too small to make a difference by doing something. And I enjoyed watching wise little Hallie being persistent in love reaching her neighbor's heart. I gave this movie a 4-star rating because of missing details and because of the rushed ending. What was the boy looking at on the computer? What was the whole meeting at the one girl's house all about when he was supposed to be doing homework? What was their mom's cause of death? When did she die?
The ending seemed rushed, and it also left me wondering if the "Alien" girl ever got her teeth fixed. Majority of the movie was focused on a goal to raise money for the dental procedure, yet they do not show us if that ever happened. I also believe that the main characters secret should have been shared with her family by the neighbor while they were at the hospital. Not just commenting on how special the little girl is. I also noticed the baby at the end of the movie, did the eldest daughters fiancé agree to that? I would have loved to see how that conversation went.
Any whom, just my critique. Again, I enjoyed watching the film, my favorite parts of the movie were the random letters. Very timely. I would watch it again and recommend it to others.
