The album felt personal, and we can see a different side of Rosé that is very different from her image as “Blackpink” Rosé. She was truly born to be a pop soloist because she had the material to be a great soloist. Unique and characteristic vocals, authentic lyricsm, genuine story teller, and most importantly a great performer. She never had a loud backtrack and never did a lipsync in her performance. Something that made me admire her art more.

When I first listened to the album, I could tell some of the collabs were actually not meant to be there. It was just a last-minute collaboration, and it felt rushed and lacked authenticity. I felt disappointed with the marketing that pushed the “Collabs” agenda to promote a so called “self-titled” album.

It lacks identity, and I can't really stand what kind of alter ego she wants to portray. The lyrics are also meh, and some are very cringe-worthy. Not to mention all the b-side felt rushed and you could tell she did a heavy autotune.
