I think it is doing a disservice to the American people when SNL takes on political events and politicians and makes fun of the event or person. I think this is what is wrong with American. Everything has to be "entertainment" well there are somethings that aren't funny. SNL has always taken on controversial issues, politicians and political events and tries to "make them funny". I don't think it is funny at all, the way politics are in the the United States. Americans shouldn't be laughing at what is going on in American politics, there is nothing funny about it. By you making comedy out of it just makes it seem normal, more acceptable, it is something to laugh at not to take seriously. I enjoy the rest of SNL, but I don't agree with laughing and making fun of the ills of the American political system and politicians. I think it is why Americans don't really give a shit about anything.
