Extravagant scientists who calculate the time of the end of the world. A fearless soldier and company who ultimately become heroes for having planted a bomb that ends the world. A film made by a Tokusatsu fan that tries too hard to emulate all the clichés, conventions, and acting styles of 70s TV shows, only making it feel forced and ridiculous at many times.

A great film and adaptation of Richard Matheson's novel that has inspired talented Hollywood writers and screenwriters to make incredible films with their own unique vision. I recommend watching the version with the alternate ending not only because it's more faithful to the book, but also because it's more complex and emotional.

This film helped me overcome my fears for a few moments after hearing the phrase "fear is a choice." M. Night directed this film masterfully thanks to the creative freedom he had thanks to producers like Will Smith. I definitely recommend it; it's worth seeing.

In this adaptation, the seemingly endless reconciliation between these two rivals finally takes place in a touching and entertaining way. Don't expect a completely childish, colorful film with lots of CGI, as it takes the psychological and dramatic aspects very seriously.
