When we started watching this for my Global Geography class, I expected it to be another never-ending biography about an event in history. This is the complete opposite of it. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The events felt so real and you become so emotionally attached to what is happening in this movie. There are some scenes that are hard to watch, but I definitely recommend this movie. I never thought that something I watched in Geography would become one of my favorite movies. I went on to make my mom watch it, and she ended up recommending it to many of her friends. In my experience with this movie, while watching it, it is hard to truly grasp what is happening to these people. You see the violence that went on but you don't consider what it was truly like for them. In the end, your mind is finally able to catch up and you truly contemplate what happened to these people. I sat there for minutes, taking in exactly what that movie showed me. You realize the pain these people are feeling, you see body after body and understand that those people had people who loved them. Overall, this movie keeps you on the edge of your seat, wanting more, but at the same time is very educational. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to watch it.
