This book is very suitable for studying the theory of electromagentic waves and wave propagation on a graduate-level, particularly that it covers the needed fundamentals to study and analyze further applications like antennas, wavesguides, plasma, computational EM, etc.
However, it is important to note that it is not an easy read (at least for me) and thus might require parallel reading of other advanced EM literature like Balanis' EM book in order to understand certain concepts and do the relevant problems.
