I was personally so so disappointed with this show, I couldn't wait to have a netflix show with a lesbian lead. And to be fair the show handles that aspect really well, Sydney being gay isn't her only personality trait. However it is possibly the most generic coming of age series of 2020. It's like if "the end of the f***ing world" and "stranger things" had a baby. But in the worst way possible I found the show from the opening scene of Sydney covered in blood, to the soundtrack, to the "I'm a weirdo" theme to be a direct rip off of teotfw. On top of that there's never any explanation for her powers and the entire season, in my opinion should've been the first two episodes of a much bigger season, there was no character development and the show seriously lacked any form of resolution
