Everything in this film was executed perfectly. Everywhere they take you is beautiful and bizarre. All at once I decided this one goes in my top 10. I went into this with no expectations other than, this is a type of multiverse movie. I think that’s the best way to experience this film. A day later and I can’t stop thinking about it.

Ok hear me out - cool concept, great acting… but finish the damned film. So much left on the table, so many loose ends, nothing adds up, no satisfaction. Read on to find out more (possible spoilers), but save yourself time and just skip this one. This is what happens when you get 9 writers in a room with completely different ideas for a “horror” film. Ask them all to give one/two ideas for a story, then say “all of these are great, we’ll use them all” and then never finish the stories for ANY of them. Then just randomly go down a rabbit hole of “witches, maggots, 200 year old racists, Amish culture, Rape? Etc”. And then finish the film with no resolution… is Liv black? Is she a reverse Michael Jackson? Is she the witch? Why the maggots? When did the master painting get finished? Why the skull hallucination? Why EVERYTHING? Nothing in this movie adds up at any point in time. I spent more time writing this than the writers did deciding if the story actually made any sense at all.
