Hitchcock's funniest film in my opinion. I saw this several times as a child and treated it as a mystery film at that age. Now more than half a century later I can appreciate much more, and it has me laughing out loud. At first it's a comedy of manners aimed squarely at 1930's Britain; then becomes darker and plays on pre-war fears. Margaret Lockwood shows why she was a huge star at the time; and Michael Redgrave is brilliant too.
