The black and white did add to the noir or this piece. However, Mr Ripley was quite odd and not a believable con man. I know this is probably only going to resonate with a few of you but it seems as though the lead alien in Galaxy Quest was zapped out of that timeline and put into the body of Tom Ripley. It feels as if he doesn’t know the customs and mannerisms of actual human beings. Granted this is an observation through two episodes but is seems strange. I know that if I met Tom Ripley I would have never believed he was human. And every character but Dicky seems to feel the same way.
