The acting is terrible. The music is appropriate for a 1970’s Star Wars theme, and this is about a company promoting young, black musicians? but the soundtrack sounds like a John Williams score. I made it to the point of the ransom phone call and the horribly acted cops showing up and couldn’t take anymore. I love Denzel, so I hope he did this movie ‘cause he owed Spike Lee a favour and not because he thought it would be good.
