Zack Snyder didn't get Superman and James Gunn doesn't really either. Superman is not suppose to be a dork. James Gunn stuck too much to what he knows best here which is write witty banter and scenes for an ensemble of delinquent like characters when this movie should've focused on Superman as this is his movie and first outing in the new DCMU. Overall, imo this movie has too many things going on but misses its mark on most of them and is another generic comic film that the audience has seen already.
