Jennifer Jones is brilliant in this role - convincing, realistic, and memorable. Louis Jordan is magnificent and handsome as one of her ardent admirers. The other actors were also well-chosen. Overall I enjoyed this movie, as the acting really drew the viewer into the realism of the characters and storyline. Wonderfully presented, creatively filmed in black and white, and took the viewer on a powerful journey of witnessing the extremes of human nature. Powerful ending, very convincing, superb acting with Jennifer Jones. These early 20th Century actors really possessed the talent to play the part. Totally recommend this movie.
