I've played since before the western release. The game uses a peer-to-peer connection making it very laggy. It has no matchmaking system so new players will be matched against veterans.
It's incredibly unbalanced. Suits are slow, and clunky, making dodging difficult even before you account for lag. the aiming controls are unwieldy. Your ability to look around is tied to your suit's turn speed which is again, slow. being a shooter on console, it's in desperate need of some kind of aim assist. Some suits are incredibly overpowered, while most are woefully underpowered. It relies heavily on stun mechanics. This has lead to an insufferable stun lock meta, rendering any other form of playing irrelevant. The devs have actually slowly removed/altered mechanics that would allow you to counter this. It's so unbalanced that mid to high tier players on your team will rage quit, and, or attack you in game if you don't pick a suit/weapon that conforms to the broken meta.
There are paid loot boxes. It does give you daily challenges that will give you one free loot box a day. There's still a pay to win aspect though given most of the overpowered suits are locked behind this system for a very long time before being able to be unlocked normally. Unlocking anything without paying is an abysmal grind designed to entice players to spend money. The devs regularly add increasingly overpowered suits( locked behind loot boxes) to the game rendering older ones useless. This makes any time or money you previously spent now wasted.
Don't bother with this game unless you're a die-hard Gundam fan. It's a laggy ,poorly balanced, monetized mess. It has a toxic, elitist playerbase, and a dev team that only wants to exploit the fandom for profit. It's a disgrace to U.C. Gundam.
