I felt this documentary was well done, in that Matt Walsh spoke to people on many sides of the issue. Doctors, psychologists, gender studies professors, trans people...at no point did I think he was being disrespectful in his tone or address but to see the left wing folks get so defensive was unsettling. It seemed like he genuinely wanted to have a conversation and no one on the left was open to it.
***Spoilers*** I found the information about the "doctor" who experimented sexually on babies to be extremely upsetting and hard to listen to. It actually upset me so much that I had to pause and do my own research to see if what he was saying was true and sadly, it is. I felt physically ill.
The interactions with the African tribe were a good laugh. To see their reactions to his questions and how they said No to moving to America was hilarious and made me feel a kinship with them immediately.
I think anyone who is a parent should watch this, no matter which side of the issue you fall on, especially the parts with the transgender man who was speaking about his experience and how this has undoubtedly shortened his life and the complications he endures every few months. It was truly heartbreaking.
