Despicable Me 4 is a cash grab by definition. I’m sure it is great for the younger ones as there is plenty of random minion humor but outside of that there is nothing appealing about this movie. The first two movies made you feel something as they had heartfelt stories that expanded the universe in an amazing way. This movie does nothing to expand said universe and even ignores its predecessor. Final note to add. Multiple groups left the theater while watching and this was on opening weekend. Whereas I watched Inside Out 2 on opening weekend and the theater was absolutely crowded. Save your money and wait for it to stream.
