Percy Jackson is a series of books written by Rick Riordan. These books are about Greek mythology. The story revolves around a 12-year-old boy who finds out that he is not a normal person, he is a half-blood which means that he is half-human and half-god, the child of a greek god.
Camp half-blood was the only place that was safe for all the half-bloods as there were monsters who were always in the mood to kill them. Percy's friends - Annabeth, Grover, and his brother Tyson went on many dangerous adventures like returning the lightning bolt to Zeus (The God of Sky), saving their camp half-blood, stopping the rise of Titans, and more.
They go on many quests where they experience deaths, betrayals, facing the deadliest monsters, and unexpected truths. The books have many twists which are my favorite part of these books. In between these exciting plot twists, action, and riddles, there is also a story about friends who became a family during all the hustle.
The message that these books give is about the importance of trust and unity. At times Percy makes decisions throughout the novel to either choose to trust others or keep things to himself. He ultimately decides it is better to trust, despite the number of times his trust is betrayed. This book also tells us that everyone has a weakness, and sometimes that weakness can become your strength.
This book has great friction and suspense and I would highly recommend this book to those who like books that have suspense, unexpected twists, fun as well as dangerous adventures.
