Kurt Russell was great as a burn out cop but,the movie overall is cliched and somewhat predictable the black characters good white cops bad. Typical Hollywood leftist take on the LAPD outside of Kurt Russell I didn't find anything about this movie entertaining.

Cheaply made poorly written film Has a good cast Tommy Lee Jones & Linda Hamilton were both young here but what trash this is Feels like a TV movie of the week Don't waste your time.

Feels more like a TV movie then a theater release this film is horrible The script by then unknown Oliver Stone is garbage and Jeff Bridges in the lead role is bad as well. His character is a burnt out drunk lapd sheriff deputy who after a questionable shoot goes on leave where he befriends a wealthy call girl who hires him to help her escape her pimp drug pusher. She's killed and the guilt ridden Bridges character seeks both redemption and sobriety by instigating the bust to take down the bad guys. He succeeds finds a new gf Rosana Arquette and goes to his AA meeting at the on the beach.lol Avoid this

😆 was this supposed to be a comedy? Connie Nielsen can't act Samuel l Jackson is just his pulp fiction character in army fatigues and John Travolta character is an ex army ranger now DEA agent in Panama who is asked by a base commander to head the investigation into a current ranger on drug charges? The plot is ludicrous the script ridiculous and the direction is uneven. Also the sun never shines in Panama? Oh,I almost forgot that jazz singer (Harry Connick) is in this trying to act he plays the former bf of Nielsen's character and base Dr handing Rx like Christmas presents. The twist ending is joke and not much of a twist Travolta heads up section 8 an army drug gang/mercs for profit coalition. Under much better writers this might have been good,instead we a comedy of errors.

Because of Dolph Lundgren I gave this a watch,wow what piece of crap. I didn't expect much but dam, this was ridiculously bad the actress who plays the deputy is a typical bitchy girl boss trope her character is very unlikable, Lundgren plays some morally shady guy who is the father of her daughter. Random who gives a f*** characters start dying by the shark who local dipshit law enforcement think is a bear? Lundgren as the movie starts is released from his prison stint and of course has a home in the Tahoe area next to the lake how convenient. Some dork with glasses a scientist convinces the cops it's not bear attacks,then the scenes are scattered with Dolph's former mob/ criminal types and his ex bitchy gf whining to the sheriff about something or other this film is an embarrassment. Eventually a shark does show up and Dolph does kinda sorta reunite with his estranged daughter. Poorly directed and edited this movie really requires getting drunk to tolerate short of that don't bother.

This is essentially a period piece movie but wow it does transport the audience into 1800's Germany To me it seems almost like watching a stage play in alot scenes which is what director Robert Eggers was going for. Bill Skarsgard as Count Orlok is unlike any Dracula adaption put on film absolutely riveting in every scene the voice is Gothic and memorable. Cinematography is glorious as are the sets this film transports you to this time period. All the actors were fine lily rose Depp Nichouls Hoult and Willem Dafoe shone. Nosferatu uses color and grey tones to help set up scenes and the mood the film wants envoke The only real negatives is this a slow watch it's not an action film nor did I find it scary and it doesn't really do anything new. Glad the cat lives though.

Don't care for Ruffalo's politics but this is a good film told in a way that keeps the audience interested. A corporate lawyer who takes on DuPont for its environmental damage it's pacing can be slow at times but the fine direction and editing make up for it. Definitely worth a watch.

As a sci-fi film it's nothing special nor is the cast.This movie has some good moments the overall story though is typical Hollywood under water horror but,it isn't really all that scary just kinda stupid. Most of the build up to what awaits is full of characters who just whine complain the only interesting one was Richard Crenna as the team Dr. and Peter Weller as the main lead is weak This film doesn't suck,it's just meh

A very slow paced uninspired plot that goes nowhere. Brad Pitt can't even make this work and the father issue storyline belongs on dr.phil not an overly long film that doesn't have much science fiction in it. The dialogue is weak as is the direction this is a disappointment.

A horrible inaccurate one sided account of Nixon focusing primary around the time of Watergate Oliver stone waited until Nixon died in 1994 to make this hit piece. Lots of good actors in this ensemble portraying the people around Nixon this film doesn't give the audience anything new and Hopkins as president Nixon gives a clownish performance. Only far left Democrats will think this vile poorly written drivel is a good movie. Oliver Stone is a disengenuius political hack who uses his films to espouse his bullsh** Lefty political viewpoints like JFK this film takes LOTS of "creative" liberties and actually comes across as ridiculous.
