Just when one feels desensitized by the decades of perpetual violence and political impasses in this corner of the world, "Apeirogon" reminds us how much of the tragedies happening there are parts of ourselves - anywhere in the world. Better yet, the book structure is revolutionary: stories are told with gripping personal emotions, mixed with flashbacks of historical events and facts, and snapshots of past and contemporary images that, like from the geometric apeirogon, tell us about the infinite but composite aspects of our common humanity.
A book I know I will re-read again someday.
