It felt like a trifle. Unimportant story and a soggy dessert. The kid was flat. Amy Adams wasnt believable as an abusive mother. Her accent was off for KY/OH Appalachia. The real hero is the quiet sister. She clearly did all the work and made the biggest sacrifice. But like most male authors and producers, that story is left in the shadows.
