Don't be put off by the truly cheesy, US-teen-drama first couple of episodes; this develops into a highly enjoyable, rollicking romp of a fantasy adventure that does justice to the legacy material and concludes with a season finale that entertainigly builds to an engaging crescendo and whets the appetite for future series (hopefully).
