I just have a few questions and if ANYONE can answer them, I will be ever so grateful. 1. How were skull fragments found from someone who is still alive? 2. Why did the family have a stack of photos in their home? Were they artists too?? Were they painting and then gluing the portraits to the ceiling? 3. Why would a high profile, no-nonsense lawyer, not be able to effectively communicate with her mother-in-law? 4. What was the purpose of the expensive watch if the mother's cancer diagnosis was fake? 5. What woman would sleep with a man, who she just watched....never mind. 6. What was the purpose of the "sex dungeon" under the stairs? 7. Why did Mea throw her phone away at the end of the movie? 8. What woman (or any human) would risk her life by intentionally swerving into an oncoming 18 wheeler to jump out of a moving vehicle????????????? 9. How did Mea enter the police department after a run with her hair in a ponytail, and leave with her hair wavy and in full makeup? 10. How was the main character free to live his life (if they found skull fragments and blood) and he was being charged with murder? If I get the answers to all of these questions, then I will change my review to 2 stars.

2 stars is generous! The movie is basically set in a hotel room, on what would have big a big night for Cassius Clay. The highlight of the movie was the tension and almost fight between Sam Cooke and Malcolm X. It was just boring and I tried...genuinely tried to like it. Shout out to Regina King for her directorial debut; there's no where to go but up from here.
