Not paid (nor wish to be) review. Minus the history lesson and essay. I know of Madam Webb, but not to the extent of expertise. With that said, the movie created a new take to her mythos and I enjoyed what they were going for. There weren't many surprises in the film (everything flowed how you would expect in a superhero movie), but it was enjoyable. Some of the scenes fell short in believability but it also had some with tension and felt high stakes. This is, by no means, a bad movie, and for a new IP, in film, I believes deserves another shot at finding its footing. I would recommend seeing this for yourself. It doesn't deserve the terrible reviews but could also have been done better. It felt low budget for a Marvel (affiliate) film.
