It's a terrible and uninspired project taken as simple contract work. A worse version of CoD. Bad controls, microtransactions, mediocre visuals, and one of the worst games this year. Probably a 3/10 but one star to balance it.

From beautiful cutscenes to gorgeous environments, Soulstorm is a sight to behold. Better platforming and modern touches make this reimagining of Abe's Exodus truly exceptional. The game runs at 60fps on PS5 with decent DualSense implementation. At the time of writing, this is the preferred place to play. Lorne Lanning and Oddworld Inhabitants fully developed this iteration and it shows. Though, Just Add Water did an admirable job with 2014's New N Tasty, Soulstorm is still a superior production.Scale and spectacle are impressive compared to it's predecessor and there is more nuance to gameplay. Easily the best Oddworld in a long time with a surprisingly high quality production and meaningful story. If you have a PS5, play it. If not, get one. Iamtylerdurden1 mini review: 9/10
