Fitting finale for Craigโs Bond. His era of 007 films has been overall good and at times great but No Time to Die is maybe my least liked Craig movie. Not a terrible movie and maybe Iโd like it better if it just wasnโt a Bond movie and some other action spy rom com. It hit a lot of the marks but still lost me at times. The music, the villain, cars, gadgets, girls, locales, action, etc all played well. The acting and overall production quality is great but the plot & dialogue were often subpar and at times poor. Craig departs from the version of Bond he established in the first 4 films and just plays Bond more like Jason Bourne or Ethan Hunt or just some guy. Bond was very much unlike Bond from the start all the way to the very end. And most of all for me it lacks that sharp 007 humor that Craigโs series just canโt seem to find. They tell jokes but they donโt come close to capturing the famous charm of 007. Hope they donโt wait long to reboot, I would love someone like Michael Fassbender or some more Fleming inspired actor. And maybe take it back to the cold war during the 1950โs. I think the Bond novels might adapt better into a series for Netflix or HBO.
