If you’re looking for a cohesive story in this movie, save yourself the trouble—you won’t find one. I’m still scratching my head over why Japan was even involved! The fight scenes and song placements are another level of chaos; there’s no rhyme or reason to their timing. Just when you think the plot might progress, they throw in a random song, stretching the runtime unnecessarily to nearly three hours.
And then comes the pièce de résistance: the climax fight scene. Our hero, with his hands tied behind his back, performs superhuman feats—biting off enemies, leaping through the air, and pulling off somersaults. Yet somehow, he doesn’t realize he has the strength to break free of the ropes. Truly, a standing ovation is due to the stunt master for their unparalleled creativity.
To top it all off, there’s a third part coming. Oh, joy. :’)
