One star is honestly too generous. The worst gameplay since the franchise moved to next gen consoles. Elevation matters far too much (yet they nerfed elevation at all of the stadiums!), foul balls are too prevalent, perfect pinpoint is NOT perfect whatsoever, and players with dreads are prone to causing your game to lag. Tag on the fact that there are no gameplay updates done whatsoever during the game cycle on a clearly unrefined gameplay? Well sounds like a recipe for an absolutely putrid game. The worst MLB The Show released since MLB The Show 18 and the worst MLB The Show to be released on the next gen consoles. Put the game back on game pass for free if it is going to play this poorly.

Imagine dropping a major patch for gameplay that should have been caught by the QA before the game was even launched. Pursuit angles are non existent, tackle battles are a joke with people just spamming stiff arm to break them, agg catches are broken, but it's a good thing Travis Hunter is still in the game! Don't buy this garbage.

Don’t buy this game until Clint Oldenburg steps down. Regardless of micro transactions, gameplay continues to be insufferable since he became Director of Madden.
