I love the way Moriarty develops and humanizes her characters. I find myself chuckling throughout her books; she is incredibly witty. This book is no exception. I was interested in the narrative but even more in the characters. What happens next to them? How do they feel? While the story itself is a bit complex and sometimes heavy handed—especially contextualizing Cherry’s character—I still looked forward to reading this book every night and even cried a bit at the end.
