Very clever and literary but too complicated. There is a great deal of detailed violence that could have been toned down. How much is true and how much fiction I do not know. Obviously Jack Kennedy’s presidency is well known but the characters behaviour behind the scenes whether true or false is not explained by any author note as in other books I have read. At the end after 500 plus pages I felt that I had been let down.
