Dana Jacobson's bit about stealing spoons from restaurants was ill-conceived, irresponsible, and reprehensible. She may very well have endorsed/started a trend among diners to popularize the theft of flatware, etc. from restaurants already struggling to stay in business.
Profit margins are at record lows as dine-in venues juggle costs of operation against menu prices. Like grocery stores who pass on the costs of shopping cart thefts and shoplifting to consumers, so do restaurants offset theft of condiments, flatware, napkins, internal theft by raising menu prices, sometimes pricing themselves out of business. 😢
Why was this segment of your broadcast this morning allowed? 2/25/23. Her cohosts were obviously startled and dismayed. Shame on you! ðŸ˜
