Shiny Things

Felt like a “woke 101” lecture series and almost like the show was attacking the audience for even the slightest gap in knowledge about such issues. Raising such complex, nuanced issues in just a 10-episode a TV show is actually futile and even detrimental. Not to mention cringey. If you really want to raise attention to these topics, they need to be highlighted in a much more socially responsible way. Not the SATC that I (and my mother) used to enjoy watching. Tip: I enjoyed watching the documentary about how the show was made - the documentary felt more close to the characters and life in NYC than the actual reboot! It bought them to life as I remembered them. 5 stars for the documentary.
