Absolutely horrible.
I don't understand what the point of this movie was. To teach kids that broken homes are fun? That Children who are already feeling the effects of separation and divorce know this is make believe and for children who have two parent household families grow up thinking what they have is meaningless? ... What message exactly do they think they're sending? This movie feels like watching sinners rated PG I'm traumatized. This movie is going to send so many children into the chairs of therapists at best. If you cried after watching this that response is valid.. weep for this generation... The two stars is for the brief humor and animation. The overall story and setting deserve a negative review.
Disney is pretty messed up but would have never signed off on this obvious Trainwreck. Look at princess Jasmine in the movie Aladdin, her father was widowed or divorced whatever but it was what it was they didn't make the whole movie about it..bell from beauty and the beast was missing a mother.. took off or passed away or maybe she had bell on the weekends we don't know because Belle was focused on getting her education until an abusive narcissist swept her off her feet... My point is when making a movie for children it should be less personal more of a fun humorous experience were children can use their imagination.. this movie was too reality based for a child and felt like a one-sided opinion. If this movie was playing at a birthday or an event for children I would politely excuse myself and my child.
Parents before watching a family movie watch it by yourself.
