good special effects but story skewed too much (liberally)- should have stuck with the usual sci fi- couldn't not finish it as I refuse to watch 'entertainment' meant to divide us further. Sorry guys- could have been a great flick rather than one that has great effects

This was a favorite of my late husband. One of the things that brought us together on that blind date (and marriage several weeks later) was out love of old classics. On Borrowed Time is on the list of absolute BEST (included on that list My Man Godfrey and anything with Loy & Powell). Barrymore is at his charming best. The movie has much more meaning now that I lost my husband and I can't watch it without crying at the end. But happy tears.
