I was hopeful that the show would detail better and further illustrate anne rice's vampire chronicles. Unforunately its just a comfort blanket for people who want things to apply to them and how they view the world today in other words a woke hollywood show fan fic fantasy brought to the screens. I read the books when i was 15 i am 29 now and still i loved her books and everything they covered.
The actors are great although in the wrong time period the stage setup and costumes are good too. I know my history so loui being mulato is not fitting to the book however i am whilling to be open minded to the colour change. I draw the line when the relationship of loui and lestat is twisted and completely taken off the rails. This show is not for me and i don't think it is a good representation of anne rice's books. But its ok i have the books and my imagination to comfort me the world can have its delusion all it wants. I loose nothing from this show being made, as its my free will to not watch or support it. By the way i made this conclusion after watching the first episode, i refuse to see the rest of the book mangled like the priest lol. The only thing i loose is screen time lol which in this era is probably not a bad thing. I will stick to interview with the vampire the movie thank goodness i saw that movie first after the book, it covers the book way better then the show.
