Huge fan of Superman and all the previous shows (Smallville, Lois and Clark) also a huge fan of the arrow verse (Flash, Supergirl).
Starting out watching the pilot episode and right away there was this gritty, real life feel to it, which right off the bat reminded me of Smallville. The episode does a fast recap of the earlier years of Clark, and brings you up to speed to modern superman, together with Lois they now have a family, 2 twin teenage boys. Clark being the emblem of hope, and decency, is struggling with being a father, and is extremely relatable. There are sad undertones of guilt, and regret as he struggles to protect all of humankind and to also balance family and being a father. I think the overall tone of the show so far is very relatable to the adult fan base that has grown up with the stories and comic books.
This may turn out to be the best arrow-verse show yet, there is just something about it, and I'm dyeing to see the next episode.
10/10 Highly recommend for any Superman Fan.
