I really enjoyed the movie. It shows how the treatment recruitment as well as the centers themselves are exploiting the addicts as much as the dealers do. It shows that when people are the most vulnerable that's when greedy people are going to take advantage.

The acting was good however the writing was awful. It dragged on and on. Then the race card was played and that drug on and on as well. It did absolutely no justice to the Sopranos at all. The fact that I waited years, plural, to see the film made it worse. The Sopranos was about the Italian culture in New Jersey and how the organized crime figures coexist with that community. The Many Saints of Newark is about black oppression in the 60s and 70s and how the Italian organized crime took advantage of it.
